Christine Tiefensee

I am Professor of Philosophy at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Germany). I received my M.Phil and Ph.D from the University of Cambridge and specialise in metaethics.

Following my Ph.D, I briefly ventured into the world of policy research. However, I quickly returned to academia, first by joining the Political Theory Department at the University of Bamberg and then the Department for Computational Science & Philosophy at the Frankfurt School.

I am currently working on how I can 'relax' about normative truths and at the same time defend their objectivity. More broadly, my research concerns inferentialist approaches to metaethics, the error theory, the normativity of rationality and ethics.
